Rebooting......

After another layoff from my job in industrial maintenance, I decided it's time to work on trying to transition to a different career while I search for work in my current trade.

This is my motivation for learning web development; if I can possibly transition to a trade that allows more time and flexibility to take care of my wife, I need to get it done as soon as possible. She has Lupus and autoimmune syndrome, along with other related disorders.

I've had a few false starts trying to become proficient at web design, development, and programming, all the way back to the late '90s and early 2000's.

Out of necessity, I'm starting over again. I intend to stick with it until I succeed.

This blog will be a journal of that process. Learning web development and programming on my own, for free if possible, dirt cheap if it's not, then moving on to finding work in that field.

Is it really possible without a degree? Can I really start over again at 53 years old and switch livelihoods yet again? Am I really smart enough to do this?
